What Is Ethosome PTT Acne Therapy?

Ethosome PTT Acne Therapy combines an ethosome-based photosensitizing solution with Photothermal Therapy (PTT) to selectively target factors associated with acne development. The treatment is designed to help regulate sebaceous gland activity while supporting clearer, healthier-looking skin.

How Does Ethosome Technology Work?

Ethosomes are advanced phospholipid-based delivery systems that enhance the penetration of active ingredients into the skin. Once the photosensitizer has been absorbed, a specific wavelength of light activates the solution, producing a localized photothermal effect that selectively targets overactive sebaceous glands and acne-related bacteria.

A Comprehensive Multi-Step Acne Program

At Cellence Clinic, Ethosome PTT is combined with Regenerative LED Therapy and HELIOS III Regenerative Toning. This integrated protocol helps soothe the skin after treatment while supporting recovery, improving post-acne redness, and promoting overall skin quality.

When Is Premium Acne Extraction Recommended?

For patients with congested pores or comedonal acne, Premium Acne Extraction may be performed alongside Ethosome PTT. Removing accumulated sebum and comedones before treatment can improve skin cleanliness and enhance the overall treatment process. A soothing modeling mask and LED therapy are then applied to calm the skin.

Who Is This Treatment Suitable For?

Ethosome PTT is well suited for patients experiencing recurrent acne, excessive oil production, inflammatory breakouts, or persistent post-acne redness. Treatment is individualized according to acne severity, skin sensitivity, and long-term skin goals.

FAQ

01

How does Ethosome PTT Acne Therapy work?

An ethosome-based photosensitizing solution is first absorbed into the skin, followed by activation with a specific wavelength of light. This photothermal reaction selectively targets sebaceous gland activity and acne-related bacteria while helping manage the underlying causes of acne.

02

How is Ethosome PTT different from acne extraction?

Acne extraction physically removes comedones and accumulated sebum from clogged pores, whereas Ethosome PTT targets biological factors involved in acne formation. Depending on your skin condition, both treatments may be combined as part of a comprehensive acne management plan.

03

Why is HELIOS III Regenerative Toning included?

HELIOS III Regenerative Toning helps calm the skin following treatment while supporting improvements in post-acne redness and overall skin recovery, creating a more balanced healing environment.

04

How many treatment sessions are recommended?

Most patients benefit from a series of three to five treatments performed at intervals of approximately two to four weeks. Your treatment schedule will be adjusted according to acne severity, skin type, and clinical response.

05

Can I return to normal activities after treatment?

Yes. Most patients resume normal daily activities on the same day. Consistent sun protection and adequate moisturization are recommended to support the healing process.

Precautions

Temporary redness, warmth, or mild swelling may occur after treatment and generally resolves within a few hours to several days.
Keep the skin well hydrated and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily throughout the treatment course.
Avoid alcohol consumption, saunas, hot baths, and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment or as advised by your medical provider.
Avoid exfoliating scrubs, chemical peels, retinoids, and other potentially irritating skincare products for approximately one week.
Do not squeeze or manipulate acne lesions during the healing period, as this may delay recovery and increase the risk of scarring.
Contact your medical provider if redness, swelling, pain, or other unusual symptoms persist or worsen.
