What Are Specialized-Area Fillers?

Specialized-area filler treatment uses hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to restore volume and improve balance in areas with distinct anatomical characteristics, such as the under-eye area, aegyo-sal, neck lines, jawline, and temples.

How Do Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Work?

Hyaluronic acid fillers provide volume and structural support where needed. The treatment approach varies by area: under-eye treatment focuses on creating a smooth transition, aegyo-sal filler requires careful consideration of facial movement, neck-line filler targets etched lines, jawline filler enhances contour definition, and temple filler restores volume to hollow areas.

Which Fillers Are Used?

Premium hyaluronic acid fillers, including Belotero®, Juvéderm®, and Restylane®, are available. The appropriate product is selected according to skin thickness, tissue movement, the required degree of support, and the desired result.

Why Is Area-Specific Treatment Important?

Delicate and anatomically complex areas may have thinner skin, greater movement, or important underlying structures. Careful product selection, injection depth, placement, and volume control are therefore essential for natural-looking results.

Personalized Treatment Planning

Each area is assessed together with overall facial proportions and symmetry. Treatment is customized to restore volume and improve balance without creating an overfilled or unnatural appearance.

FAQ

01

What are specialized-area fillers?

Specialized-area fillers are hyaluronic acid filler treatments customized for areas such as the under-eyes, aegyo-sal, neck lines, jawline, and temples, where skin thickness, movement, and anatomical structure require careful treatment planning.

02

How are under-eye and aegyo-sal fillers different?

Under-eye filler is generally used to soften hollowness and create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. Aegyo-sal filler is placed more superficially to create a subtle lower-eyelid contour that appears natural during facial expression.

03

Can fillers be used for neck lines?

Hyaluronic acid fillers may be considered for selected horizontal neck lines after evaluating line depth, skin quality, and neck movement. The appropriate product and injection technique vary according to individual anatomy.

04

Are different fillers used for different areas?

Yes. Product selection depends on skin thickness, tissue movement, injection depth, and the degree of flexibility or structural support required. Belotero®, Juvéderm®, or Restylane® may be selected according to the treatment area and intended result.

05

How long do the results last?

Longevity varies depending on the product, treatment area, injection volume, metabolism, and individual lifestyle factors. Results may generally last approximately 12–24 months, although highly mobile areas may have a shorter duration.

06

Can I return to normal activities immediately after treatment?

Most patients can resume normal daily activities on the same day. Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, or mild asymmetry may occur during the initial healing period.

Precautions

Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking for approximately 2–3 days after treatment whenever possible.
Avoid pressing, rubbing, or massaging the treated area unless specifically instructed by your medical provider.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise for approximately 2–3 days after treatment.
Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, or mild asymmetry may occur and generally improves as healing progresses.
Contact your medical provider immediately if you experience increasing pain, marked skin discoloration, blanching, severe swelling, vision changes, or other unusual symptoms after treatment.
